drawnhere - After the fire
[Peter only half focuses on the fear he feels from Jordan. His mate has a dangerous job, sometimes he gets scared and Peter learned to ignore these for the sake of his leftover sanity. Though this time it goes on and gets more intense, it isn't just a scare. It's more than that.
The wolf swallows and moves from the couch to quickly get his clothes, just to check out what can it be. And then he feels his whole body burning.
Burning.
Peter's knees almost give out at the overwhelming sensation and it takes him a second to realize it's not him. It's Jordan. He hesitates before he finally moves again, because if this means what he thinks it does, he's not sure if he's ready. But his body practically moves without his will and he's out of the house in no time.
As Peter runs he tries to cling to what he can feel through the bond, just to lose it. For a second. There is nothing there... and Peter feels his mind shutting down. He's only half aware that he's running and the next thing he knows he's opening the door of Derek's loft with too much force. Peter barely knows why he's actually here, but then he spots Jordan and he's wondering if this is real of not.]
Jordan..?

Jordan..?

He takes his clothes off and all traces of ash are gone but of course the scent of smoke still lingers. He'll need a nice long showers to get rid of it.] I think it should just be you and me. Okay?
no subject
As Jordan undresses Peter starts the water and sets the temperature before he takes off his clothes too.] Of course. No one else, just you and me. [And with that he takes his mate's hand, already looking if his body's the same. Peter pulls him under the water, a hand slipping on his chest to feel his heartbeat again. It's a little alarmed, but it's there. It's alive.] You're still so beautiful.
no subject
Aren't you lucky that didn't change? [It might be easier to handle if he can joke about it but he doubts it.]
no subject
How lucky I am indeed, I can still call you babyface. [Peter smiles, though it's not a happy one. He reaches for the shampoo to first wash Jordan's hair, where the smoke's scent is still awfully strong.] But even if you changed it wouldn't make a difference, you know that?
no subject
I know. I know you love me. [Right now, he's so grateful for it. Going through this alone would be the worst feeling in the world.] I'm so sorry you had to feel that, what happened to me. I'm so sorry.
no subject
No, Jordan. [He frowns then a bit angrily, cupping the man's nape to make him look at him. ] Don't you dare to apologize for this. It wasn't your fault and honestly... I'd never accept any apology or excuse for this from anyone, because there is none.
no subject
[Even though he was the one to go through it, he wants to protect Peter from it. He can see how it has hurt Peter.] Are you okay?
no subject
Let's get you clean and stuffed and I'll be. [He nods, suddenly feeling a little twitchy as he's rinsing Jordan's hair.] Everything will be fine. [He adds, not sure if entirely for Jordan.]
no subject
We can lie around in bed after this and do nothing but take care of each other. [Because he's going to take care of him. Peter needs it as much as Jordan does.]
no subject
Let's do that. [Peter nods taking the shower gel to wash through the rest of Jordan's body for any kind of leftover ash or smoke or bad memories and pain. They really need this and Peter is awfully aware just how much they really do. He was never this dependent on anyone and no one was this dependent on him... it's scary, but it's still the safest he felt in a long, long time.]
no subject
You take such good care of me. [He hopes the scent of smoke and fire has gone away now. He wants to smell like Peter, like home and safety. He wants to smell like himself.] What would I do without you?
no subject
And have mediocre sex. [He jokes a little as he stops the water to dry them up.] You're really not hungry, Jordan?
no subject
[He would like some sleep. Being burned alive really took it out of him.]
no subject
How about... [Peter starts softly, toweling Jordan's hair.] I give you a shirt and you lay down, while I make sure you have something to eat when you get hungry? And then I'll join you. [He mutters, leaning over to nuzzle at Jordan and kiss his lips. Finally, his scent is back and his skin is alive and he's with Peter and the wolf just buries his face into his neck. Maybe they both are still in shock.]
no subject
[Sleeping with Peter would be better but he could wait until his mate returned to him in bed.]
no subject
Just rest and I'll come back soon. [Peter assures once again, kissing Jordan before he attempts to get to the kitchen and make some salad from the leftovers and vegetables.]
no subject
He falls into an exhausted sleep in seconds, needing it after the emotional and physical turmoil of coming back from the dead. His body instinctively curls towards Peter's side of the bed, seeking out his mate.]
no subject
He makes some pasta salad, throwing out stuff that's close to expiring. Which is silly, yes, taken the circumstances, but he can not have spoiled food around.
After Peter's sure that they have food for later he goes back to his mate, as he promised. He wonders how he would have bolted just a few weeks ago, but right now it's almost agony to see Jordan in that bed alone, almost disappearing in his shirt even. He's not small, but he looks small right now and Peter's heart is breaking. He's slowly sliding into bed next to Jordan, just moving close and watching him, he doubts he'll be able to sleep for a while. ]
no subject
He'll sleep easier now. He knows that if Peter's near he's safe. Peter wouldn't let anything hurt him. Whatever he is, at least he'll have Peter.]
no subject
no subject
What can I do for you? [He rubs his hand up and down his back, trying to help his mate.] What do you need?
no subject
I just want you to rest. I'll be fine, go back to sleep.
no subject
[He knows this has to be hard for both of them but Peter with his history of fire and losing everything, Jordan can understand why he's so worked up.]
Talk to me. Tell me what I can do.
no subject
You can maybe do one little thing. [He mutters, absently stroking Jordan's neck with his fingers.] Just stay, maybe forever. It's really all I want from you.
no subject
[They haven't talked much about their plans for the future, not the details of them. Jordan's more than ready after dying. He wants to move forward and live now that he's got the chance.]
