drawnhere - After the fire
[Peter only half focuses on the fear he feels from Jordan. His mate has a dangerous job, sometimes he gets scared and Peter learned to ignore these for the sake of his leftover sanity. Though this time it goes on and gets more intense, it isn't just a scare. It's more than that.
The wolf swallows and moves from the couch to quickly get his clothes, just to check out what can it be. And then he feels his whole body burning.
Burning.
Peter's knees almost give out at the overwhelming sensation and it takes him a second to realize it's not him. It's Jordan. He hesitates before he finally moves again, because if this means what he thinks it does, he's not sure if he's ready. But his body practically moves without his will and he's out of the house in no time.
As Peter runs he tries to cling to what he can feel through the bond, just to lose it. For a second. There is nothing there... and Peter feels his mind shutting down. He's only half aware that he's running and the next thing he knows he's opening the door of Derek's loft with too much force. Peter barely knows why he's actually here, but then he spots Jordan and he's wondering if this is real of not.]
Jordan..?

Jordan..?

I'll try to settle my things soon then. [Peter smirks, utterly fond of his mate and thinking just how cute he can be sometimes.] Any ideas of the wedding? Guests? Decoration? Honeymoon? I'm afraid you already have the whole thing planned out in your head.
I can see. [He smiles a little leaning in to kiss his mate again. Of course he will give him all the time he needs.] Can't rest because of me? [Peter asks in a sigh, stroking Jordan's waist absently.]
no subject
You're restless and I feel it. Even exhausted I still want to take care of you. [He sighs against Peter's lips s they kiss.] I want to make sure you're okay.
no subject
[He closes his eyes for a second though.] I just don't feel like sleeping. It's- well, I suppose I'm still afraid something will happen. That if I go to sleep I wake up without you. You burned alive and the last time those close to me burned... [He frowns, shaking his head, laughing a little. It feels so weak to talk about it like this, without swearing any revenge and hissing in anger.]
no subject
[He runs his fingers through Peter's hair again.] I'll be here. This isn't a dream. I promise you. I'll be here when you wake up and every day after.
no subject
[The wolf is eying something on the sheets, not looking up at the other.] And then I lose six years of my life, just to wake up to be alone. [Not entirely alone, of course, he still had his niece and nephew... which was his last chance for revenge. Peter sighs again as if that could get rid of that stone stuck his chest. He whispers mostly to himself.] Of all the things why burning...
no subject
I don't know how to make you accept this is real. I'll be alive tomorrow, I'll be with you. [He nuzzles Peter's neck and kisses over his heart.] I'm here. I'm alive. I'm not leaving you.
no subject
[Peter swallows, nuzzling back at Jordan too.] I guess I have to take my chances, don't I? So you can rest at least. [He sighs, finally looking at his mate.] I'm going to trust you and if you lied to me I'll find you dead or alive... [He chuckles, knowing he sounds stupid, but he's not sure he can keep it together if he wakes up again into a nightmare. Peter sighs and scoops Jordan up to lay him back down the bed.]
no subject
I'll be here. When we wake up you can make love to me. [He curls up on his side and presses himself tight against Peter. He's not going anywhere. Peter will wake up to his mate, like he does every morning.] I love you.
no subject
[Peter pulls Jordan close, maybe a little desperate. Those words still sting, but not as much as they used to. He just nods and kisses his mate's forehead.] Sleep. And dream about our honeymoon. I'll... try to do the same.
no subject
That's good. [Peter's anxiety is a little bit better, enough that Jordan isn't distracted when he falls back asleep.]
no subject
Peter just smiles a little and nuzzles close to Jordan, so he can smell him even if he happens to fall asleep. And finally he does.]
no subject
He nuzzles his neck and kisses his skin gently, trying to wake him up gently.]
no subject
Did you dream?
no subject
[He runs his hands over Peter's arms, trying to calm him down from that quick jolt of fear. There's no reason for it. Jordan is clearly fine.]
No, I didn't. I slept great.
no subject
Good. Good... [He mutters, his hand reaching up to brush against Jordan's cheek.] Are you alright?
no subject
[After all that sleep Jordan is ready for something to eat and then maybe some research into what he is or more of letting Peter take care of him.]
no subject
That was my next question. [He smiles.] Breakfast in bed?
no subject
[He figures the answer is no. Peter will want to take care of him and Jordan can sit back and enjoy being spoiled by his mate.]
no subject
Maybe. [Peter smirks, tilting his head before he kisses back.] Just stay here and look dashing, baby. That'd be a great help.
[He kisses Jordan again and pulls away to prepare some breakfast for them.]

[Peter feels the familiar tension in his guts as he turns on the coffee machine. It's all cozy again and homey, but he's living like this for a while and he likes it. Despite the slight paranoia, he likes it. And it's real.]
[Since Peter still wants to provide for his mate he goes a bit overboard. He makes coffee, pours some orange juice, gets milk, cereal, toast, butter, jam, tomatoes, cheese, even prepares some scrambled egg and even serves some of the salad from last night. He basically puts every food on the tray that can be accepted as breakfast. He even has to use two trays...]
Well, I knew I can count on you. Such an outstanding talent. [Peter smiles at last when he turned their bed into a breakfast table and sits down next to his mate.]
no subject
[He makes sure their hips touch and his ankle is hooked around Peter's so that they're close together but have room to eat. He picks what he likes, grinning at his mate's ridiculousness but how loving Peter is.]
no subject
At this point you should be thankful I didn't go with my other urge and presented some raw deer to you.
[Peter snorts, knowing he got too much. But at least his wolf is calm knowing his mate definitely has enough to eat. He leans over to smear a messy kiss with some jam stuck to his lips on Jordan's cheek in revenge.] You need energy anyway.
no subject
[He laughs against Peter's lips and licks the jam from him.] Mmm, how sweet you are. [He's able to feel happy again which is a big deal after what happened.] Yeah? Do you have plans for me?
no subject
Then you should be indeed thankful. [Peter chuckles, glad that his mate is smiling and smelling of happiness. What happened was terrible and he wasn't sure how Jordan will handle it... But Peter will try to ease his troubles. Now that it's sure he is alive.]
Well, my plans include you staying in this bed. Mostly. [He purrs, kissing Jordan again for good measure.] And if you want to get better you need a full stomach anyway.
