Misspelling... get it? Get it?
[Peter couldn' help smirking at he was thinking about Stiles calling him. He was trying a spell. A spell. Not a potion or something more practical, but a damn spell form the books they got from the vault. Of course, it bound to fail, but Peter had to admit Stiles had guts.
Though he also reminded himself to warn the idiot for dangerous experiments with spells.
Either way, to not to discourage the boy, Peter decided to take him on a date. He wanted to have a good steak too anyway.]
So tell me, what were you trying to achieve again?
[He asks as they get out of Stiles' jeep to walk to the restaurant.]

[ He says the words in a hushed tone, because no one needs to know that magic- and supernatural things- are real. But Peter is probably right, he should take more breaks so he doesn't wear himself out too quickly. ]
You can check on me every three hours, how about that? I should probably take more breaks anyway.
[ Stiles is, again, oblivious to the fact the hostess damn near made herself topless in his presence, his attention on Peter. Instead he just flashes her a quick smile as she comes out from behind the counter and shows them to their table.
After taking his seat, the hostess sets down Peter's menu in front of him, then leans over the table to Stiles to set down his menu, giving him an impressive view of her ample cleavage while asking him if there's anything he needs from her. ]
Uhhh, no? I- um, me and my date are just going to browse the menu for now, thanks.

As they sit down, Peter's not taking his eye off from the hostess. She's invading. And as she goes in for the kill Peter feels his wolf wake from his slumber too. She's not moving and she definitely reeks of arousal and want.]
Yes darling, that was your cue to leave. [He speaks in a low tone, softly, but he's almost growling. She is reluctant, but does as he asked. But Peter has a feeling they will see more of her. As he watches her leave, Peter notices other glances towards them, more people looking at Stiles with want...
The wolf frowns, carrying his gaze around the place feeling a slight dread grip him as he's slowly putting two and two together.]

He'll start setting an alarm or something on his phone every few hours, that should help break up the studying and practicing. ]
Geeze, subtle much? [ Stiles shakes his head, not having realized that she isn't the only one watching him, as he opens his menu and begins looking over the options.
He looks up to ask Peter what he's having and pauses when he notices the look on his mate's face, causing his own brows to furrow in concern. ]
Hey, what's wrong? Are you okay?
no subject
He turns back to him at the question. He takes a deep breath, trying to check if there is anything wrong with Stiles' scent. There's nothing. Only strong magic has scent, so Peter can't tell if it's the spell, but...]
Perfect. [He answers shortly, narrowing his eyes at Stiles.] Though, may I ask again, what kind of spell was that... exactly? Opening things you said?
no subject
Yeah, opening or finding things. It was supposed to lead me to... whatever. But since I didn't feel the inexplicable urge to go anywhere, I guess it didn't work.
[ Of course, there's always the chance he did it wrong- which he doesn't think he did. And at any rate, if he did do it wrong then surely something would have happened if it backfired. Though now that he thinks about it, alternately depending on the workings of the spell it could attract things to him. But that's silly, you can't attract things like secret lairs or other vaults to someone. ]

[With a low hum, Peter sets his menu aside and puts his elbows on the table, leaning closer to Stiles. His voice is low, hushed. Because the chatter of the place also died the more they spent time here. The more Stiles was here. Peter didn't like it.]
Look around you. Just look around, Stiles. Is there anything you notice?
no subject
Stiles then notices the hostess who had seated them and watches as she gives him a hungry once over and licks her lips. It makes his stomach turn.
They're staring at him. ]
Oh my god, oh my god the spell backfired!
[ Before he can say anything else one of the waiters approaches their table and stands right next to him, a little too close for him now that he knows what's happening. Unlike the hostess, the waiter has no problem touching Stiles, sliding a hand along the back of his neck as he asks if there's anything he'd like to order, like himself for example. ]
no subject
[Peter sighs and notices the waiter walking to them. But he's too late, the bastard is already invading territories that are his and only his.
He's quickly up from his seat stepping to the man. His limbs tremble from anger and instinct to tear someone's throat out. Instead Peter just grabs the wrist connected to the stray hand and pulls it away, squeezing.] Generous, but I doubt you'd be any use with a broken wrist.
[There's a sound of bones breaking and a scream, as Peter squeezes again. Hoping the survival instinct is stronger in humans than the work of the spell. At least for the time they leave the restaurant.]
Come on, Stiles. [Peter calls, reaching for the boy's hand to pull him toward the exit.]
no subject
Oh my god you hurt him!
[ Honestly he's not even a little surprised and the show of possessiveness he knows Peter has for him kind of turns him on. He's a terrible person for it.
What surprises him most, though, is that the staff and patrons of the restuarant didn't even bat an eye when Peter broke the man's wrist, but what spurs them into action is when Peter grabs his hand and pulls him away from the table. That, seemingly, outrages them that this man dare touch their Stiles. ]
Oh god, yes, let's go!
no subject
He looks around, realizing that the spell has these people too strong. They will have to run. These people want Stiles in a desperate way, the longer he's here the more the spell erases the common sense in the room.]
So far for steak tonight. [Peter growls, his eyes flash red, but humans were never affected by werewolf theatrics. No spell, no show of dominance would stop them in their current brainless state. Which is annoying as they want to take his Stiles. The wolf squeezes Stiles' hand and pulls him close to himself so he can lead them to the exit through the crowd of people.] Stay close.
no subject
All the while Stiles is muttering apologizes. This was not what he wanted when he started going through the spellbook he had found, or the spell he had tried out. And not only that but it ruined their date. ]
no subject
Though Peter can sense that these people are focused on Stiles and his lack of interaction is the one keeping them at bay. So far. God, the air is disgusting here.
Peter takes Stiles outside, quickly checking if there are anyone on the streets.]
Shut up and get to the car, quickly.
no subject
God, he has no idea, and really he just wants to get back to the safety of Peter's home. ]
no subject
He gets in the car after Stiles, looking at him for a moment. Then he takes the keys.]
If you don't mind, I'm driving us back to my place. [Peter starts. He needs to do something, he's trembling from tension and anger, his wolf still alert to guard his territory. They are back in his apartment in no time.]
no subject
When they get to Peter's apartment, Stiles makes the mistake of looking up and making eye contact with one of Peter's neighbors who just exited their apartment. Thankfully they're able to get inside Peter's apartment before the woman gets close enough to touch him, and instead just gets a door slammed in their face.
Stiles stumbles away from the front door, pale and on the verge of a panic attack. He has no idea how long this will last, he doesn't think the spell said it had a timeframe. What if he can never go outside again? What if he can't see his friends or his dad? ]
no subject
As Peter locks the door he hears her banging on it weakly, but leaves eventually. The wolf sighs, turning to Stiles smelling his state.]
Stiles. [He starts softly, stepping closer and holding up a hand to the boy. Peter doesn't want to be the one jump-starting an attack, but he wants to help and also make sure Stiles has his scent on him and not that other jerk's.] You're safe now. Stiles look at me...
no subject
I'm sorry, I'm sorry Peter, I didn't- I don't know what I did wrong. I followed all the directions...
no subject
You apologized enough, Stiles. Spells are difficult to handle, they are sensitive of the user too. Some spells only can be used by certain people. [He speaks gently, stroking the boy's waist and tilts his head to look into his face.] I need to look at it too to know more. But until then I'd rather you not leave here.
no subject
If it wears off. God, he hopes so. ]
Maybe we can order in instead. And you can answer the door.... while I'm in the other room.
no subject
It's promising you still have hunger after this scare. [He smiles a little, turning his head to kiss at Stiles' temple. Peter almost offers to go out and maybe bring the spell book too, but he doesn't want to leave Stiles alone now. Not after he was basically hunter back there. His wolf needs this too.] Oh Stiles, my sweet, what would have happened if I wasn't taking you out today? If I'm not with you when the spell acts? It was very dangerous.
no subject
Though, despite the fact he had messed up the spell, and things had turned ugly, it doesn't deter him from wanting to learn, from wanting to hone his spark and become Peter's emissary. He'll just... need a little guidance perhaps. Maybe he'll start letting Peter look over his spell choices first so he doesn't wind up making the same mistake again, or worse. ]
I know, I'm sorry... I'm glad you were there.
no subject
It's good you want to learn, it's good you're curious. But if next time I'm not there something worse can happen, Stiles. [He speaks quietly.] I'm not saying to review all spells you want to try, but at first it may be better. Until you have experience.
Also, in my experiences, spells fade. Eventually. [He adds to calm the boy down.]
no subject
I will from now on, I promise. I really don't want something like that to happen again. I wanted to become an emissary to protect people, not hurt them or make them do something they wouldn't.
[ Now that he thought about it... ]
Why didn't the spell affect you?
no subject
Hmm. [He frowns thoughtful. Was he really not affected? Peter didn't feel any different with Stiles, he always wanted him.] That could depend on the spell, but I suppose... because I already found you? [He smirks again, leaning closer for a short kiss.]
I already want to have you, I don't need a spell for it.
no subject
Mm, maybe that's why you weren't affected.
no subject
[Peter nods, kissing the boy again. He just realizes his wolf calms down too. Knowing that his mate is safe and sound and chose them again. He was ready to kill back there for this boy. Damn it.]
Now, how about we order in, eat and then I show you how much I want you.
no subject
I think that's a great idea.
